چکیده
The unexpected temperature drop during the concrete curing process could degrade properties at early age, and then decrease bond behaviour between reinforcing steel bars. To assess effect of low on structural safety, it is significantly important to investigate age under such extreme environmental conditions. In this study, pull-out tests were conducted early-age specimens with embedded deformed bars 0 °C normal 20 °C. All subjected biaxial lateral pressures varying from 0.1 fcu 0.4 simultaneous confining pressure. results indicated that comparing cured °C, strength for decreased earlier ages 3 7 days. However, increased steadily increase age. Eventually, 28-day reached same both temperatures. addition, average slip displacements corresponding strengths was slightly lower than those temperature. Based experimental results, an empirical model stress-slip relationship proposed Comparing other existing models, agreed well validating its applicability

Effect of the Concrete Strength on the Concrete-Steel Bond in Concrete Filled Steel Tubes
In this study, the concrete-steel bond strength of concrete filled cylindrical steel tubes has been experimentally investigated. 22 short, high strength and normal concrete filled circular steel tubes were tested. Push-out test was carried out as the common method to evaluate the bond carrying capacity. Four different concrete mixes were used in preparing the specimens. The steel tubes were w...
متن کاملEffects of Stirrups on Bond Behavior Between Concrete and Corroded Steel Bars
Steel corrosion leads to the deterioration of bond between concrete and steel bars. The serviceability and ultimate strength of concrete elements within RC structures are hence affected. Many researchers have studied the bond behavior of corroded steel bars. However, very few studies have investigated the effects of confinements on the degradation of bond strength. The present paper proposed a ...
متن کاملMonotonic and Cyclic Bond Behavior of Deformed CFRP Bars in High Strength Concrete
Composite reinforcing bars (rebars) that are used in concrete members with high performance (strength and durability) properties could have beneficial effects on the behavior of these members. This is especially vital when a building is constructed in an aggressive environment, for instance a corrosive environment. Although tension capacity/weight (or volume) ratios in composite rebars (carbon ...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation on Cold-Formed Steel Foamed Concrete Composite Wall under Compression
A series of tests on cold-formed steel foamed concrete (CSFC) composite walls subjected to axial load were proposed. The primary purpose of the experiments was to study the mechanical behavior and identify the failure modes of CSFC composite walls. Two main factors were considered in this study: 1) specimen with pouring foamed concrete or without and 2) different foamed concrete density ranks (...

This paper presents the results of the tests and analysis on the coefficient of thermal expansion for the steel strand under combined low temperatures and prestressing forces. A test program was firstly carried out to study the thermal expansion behaviour of the seven-wire strand under combined different low temperatures ranging from 20 to 165 C and different prestressing levels ranging from 0 ...
